If you are an incoming first-year or transfer student, Transitional Guides serve as your primary point of contact. They offer you transitional support and guidance, and they play a crucial role in connecting you to university life and preparing you for foundational coursework success.

Cane Navigators are your main point of contact throughout your undergraduate career, from orientation to graduation. They play a critical role in supporting you holistically, addressing not only your academic needs but also your personal and professional development through your undergraduate journey.


Success Advocates work proactively to design and implement programs that assist you in overcoming obstacles to timely degree completion, such as first-year seminars, GPAid, and ’Canes Complete. They also are equipped to provide you one-on-one guidance if you consider a leave of absence or face student success related challenges.

Faculty Mentors provide you academic advice and mentorship related to your chosen field of study, course selection, research opportunities, and career pathways. They guide your academic and professional development through sharing valuable insights, growth-minded encouragement, and experiential learning exploration.
